| Peter Pavel Glavar, né a Komenda, est un apiculteur
si important qu’on a nommé cette voie en son honneur.
Ces dernieres années, la production de l’équipement apicole
de haute qualité s’est développée a Šenèur, pas loin d’ici,
dans la famille Logar, de sorte que sa réputation se répande de plus
en plus aussi hors des frontieres de notre pays. Mentionnons aussi
la
station de fécondation a Kamniška Bistrica, qui est, grâce a sa position géographique
idéale, tres appropriée pour l’élevage de reines de l’abeille carniolienne de pure race. |

La ville au bord de la riviere, sur laquelle les Argonautes ont transporté
la toison d’or, la ville pres du marais, ou jadis vivaient les
habitants de la cité lacustre, la ville d’un riche héritage
de la ville romaine d’Emona, la capitale du pays carniolien, la
capitale des Provinces Illyriennes de Napoléon, la ville
des palais de la Renaissance, baroques et surtout sécession,
la plus grande salle d’exposition architecturale du maître Pleènik – voila tout cela, c’est Ljubljana.
Peter Pavel Glavar s’occupait, en plus que pretre, aussi d’agriculture
et d’apiculture. En ayant répondu a la proposition du
gouvernement de Vienne d’améliorer
l’activité apicole dans les pays de l’empire, il a eu ’une grande
influence directe sur son compatriote Anton Janša. Il
est intéressant qu’en critiquant l’article de Huml, chirurgien
de Ljubljana, portant sur la découverte
que la reine est vraiment fécondée en dehors de sa ruche
domestique, il a ajouté a son texte : « Avec plusieurs
faux bourdons et pas seulement avec un ». Avec cette affirmation,
il prenait les devants sur le reste du monde. |

Ljubljana: the Slovenian capital,
which brings together the characteristics of east, west,
north, and south in its own special way. This town of
lively cultural events stretched out below Ljubljana Castle
boasts various theaters, museums, galleries, an opera
house, and one of the oldest philharmonic societies
in the world. You can enjoy a walk through the old town center,
across Pleènik’s well-known Triple Bridge, down to the cathedral,
past Francesco Robba’s fountain, and the town hall,
where you can take the funicular up to the town castle. Finally, there is the town’s legend about the river man, as well as visits
to the Baroque Franciscan church and Congress Square with the university headquarters and other beautiful buildings;
Kamnik: take a walk through the town’s
well-preserved medieval center, where rich merchants once
lived and splendid townhouses and beautiful churches stood;
Komenda: the town where the priest
Peter Pavel Glavar lived and worked. He was a famous educator,
a fruit grower, and a great beekeeper. The benefice building
still stands here and houses the well-known Glavar Library
with more than 2,000 books, and the former Glavar Hospital, which is now the municipal
seat. At the old church center of the Knights of Malta
you can see the Parish Church of St. Peter with its beautiful Baroque
main altar and furnishings designed in part by Jože
Pleènik. |
